Glitch in managing photo comments

Canvas auto forming around my uploaded images!

I edited some images us9ing MSpaint and made sure their canvas was fit to the size of the image, but when i upload them to add them to my website they are being resized and fitted with a new all white canvas. WHat is this they are jpg. Should I use a dif format? actu...
