If I upgrade to pro hosting and develope a web site with Bravenet, how easy is it for someone to do a google search and find it (the site)? Will it show up at all after doing a search? Finally say the site is called www.Steve.com is that all they have to type? Or is there a prefix like bravenet.steve.com?
Thanks for any help, Steve

Browser: AOL, IE8

OS: Windows XP SP2

Re: Searches

you have to submit your site to search engines

When they index it and where it shows up is anyone's guess

your domain or subdomain is what you make it

if you want your site to be www.steve.com then that is it

if you are just getting the free bravenet subdomain then it will be xxxx.bravehost.com

the xxxx part being what you make it

Re: Searches

Search engines index the CONTENT. If somebody knows the address of your site they will enter that directly into the address field on their browser.

As already said, you need to tell the search engines that your site exists. They all have options, usually well hidden, to allow webmasters to do that.

Indexing by search engines has nothing to do with what service level you buy from Bravenet.
