moving site files from domain to subdomain

Hi -
I want to move the files that I currently have in my main site into a sub domain so that I may free up my domain acct to use as a different website. How do I do this. I don't want to delete existing files & folders. Just want to move them over

Just upload to the new location.

If you used an on-line editor you will need to download the entire site to your PC first of course.
