Hi all;
I'm preparing to send a clutch disc from a '27 Star M to the shop to have new lining installed. Does anyone know the correct thinkness of the pad?
Thanks, Jim G.
Wondered if anyone had a diagram or pictures of how the brake pedal and emergency brake lever were attached to the frame on the 27 touring. I've got several peices but assume their all for later medels as nothing seems to match up. Put the clutch cross peiece in and...
I need a radiator cap for my 31 De Vaux. Any ideas where to look? Maybe someone knows of another model Durant that used the same radiator.... I haven't had much luck researching. The engine is a Hall-Scott 40A...it's almost the same engine as a Continental 22A. The r...
Need advice on my '26 Star M truck. The front drive shaft doesn't seem to have any type of seal on it and the books don't reveal any seal there. Upon filling the transmission with oil, the oil leaks out the front. ANY comments or suggestions would be appreciated.
Just got back home from the DMAC East Coast Chapter meeting in Corning, New York. Hope all that attended had a great time and had a safe trip home. Except for the snow on Saturday, and the drop in temperature everything went well. Those of you that could not attend w...

Hello!
I am writing to see what sort of help might be out there to help me learn about my durant m2. It's a 1928, and slowly I have been trying to get the main issues with it resolved. It's in fairly good condition for it's age, but I am definitely not a cla...
A few weeks back I acquired a highly modified 1924 Star speedster. I've had a few cars and this one will be a lot of fun I think. The previous owner/builder did an amazing job on the modifications and I'm looking forward to contributing to the group.

I recently purchased a 1924 Star Speedster and the builder of the car - 2 owners back - did a number of customizations that I'm trying to figure out. I know its a Zenith carb - and I can read a 5 and a 4 on the dime sized tag on the top, but the rest appears illegibl...
I bought a nice '27 4-cylinder RI Wiring harness and have it all hooked up but nothing works as it should (no lights, no starter when battery connected) and I used the '27 schematic provided by RI wiring and a reprinted manual. BUT neither really match up with my '24...

Can anyone tell me how much engine oil a 1924 Model F 4-cylinder Star takes, and approximately how much 600 weight oil the trans and rear end take?

After surfing the websites have any of DMAC members seen in person the 1929 Durant and the 1927 Star that hireoldcars.com (CA) offers for rentals? Are the vehicles as sharp and authentic as they appear? Just curious.
I would like to say I really enjoyed the article by Mike on how they judge and what the judges have to do to be judges.I also enjoyed the rest of the Partner as always well done.
I have a copy of a parts book I was looking through.
In the engine section, on the valves, beside the valve chamber covers that bolt to the side of the motor, it lists a valve chamber cover baffle.
I have never seen any of these. Does anyone have a photo of wh...
I reckon I've received my latest issue of the Durant Partner. I noticed it partially covered by a pile of fabric in Shirley's sewing room. She generally gets it from the mailbox and goes thru it before letting me know it has arrived.
Since I've finished my wheels now, its on to the front axle. What is everyone's thoughts on what to put between the newly reconditioned springs? From what I can tell there are several choices other restorers have done before me.
1. Nothing between the individual s...

I've been doing some searching to no avail. I think this has been discussed here before, but I can find no reference. Namely, is there a current part number for the distributor cap, and rotor for the AutoLite IGB timer as used on the 1929 Durant D60? I've got a coupl...

I've seen a few posts about trying to find the right serial number. I don't have the Body ID but I do have the engine ID. I'm told the car is a 1926 Star (Coach). I've posted a few pictures on here before and there's really not much of the car. The engine's tag says...
