I managed to get a nice spare on the '24 Star but what sort of locking clips were used originally to hold that spare in place on the studs?
Here is a pic of mine with silly round washers on the posts.

I should add that my clincher rims do NOT have the lugs/tabs welded to the rim itself- that would have been too easy.
