Timing marks on cam and crank gears

SHOULD I TRY TO GET IT OUT. THE PINION HOUSING HAS A DIECAST INSERT. MOST OF THE SPIGOT HAS BROKEN AWAY AND THE METAL LOOKS CRUMBLY. WHAT DOES EVERONE ELSE DO?THE BEARING IS WORN BUT OK BUT I'D PREFER TO REPLACE IT.

Paint colors available for 1926
Just wondering if anyone knows what colors were available for 1926? My coupe appears to have been painted a dark green color at some point in its life but underneath the repaint, and on the fire wall, there is a dark olive color. I assume this is the original color.
