I was at my cousin house when I seen your book. I recently lost my daughter at 39 weeks of my pregency, because her unibilical cord choke her to death. I still trying to get through for six monyhd now. Sometimes I will try to drink enough to pass out and just cry. After I read your book, I knew that God saw what we didn't and decided to take her with him. I glad that God gave you the heart to do what you did in the hosipital. You are my inspiration along with Wilma Rudolph. The doctors told Wilma that she could never walk at again because with her life -threanten disease she was diagnosed with at age of like seven. But God told her otherwise and she became the first African American woman to win 3 gold medals in an olympic. I glad that you wrote the book. God used you to help me and others. Thank you God for equipping you with everything you need. Hopefully you can come back to Hilton head, SC

I have never forgot about Anthony from day one of hearing the news

Jackie after reading the book Juan's story I thought to myself what a blessed and loving family I myself am a foster and adoptive parent I also have in my care two of my grandchildren in all outside the two children I had I have six other children living in my home with me now.I feel that I'am truly blessed that God chose me to mother six more of His little angels I love them dearly so you must know how I truly feel about Juan and his situation after I finished reading the book I prayed and asked God to let Juan be able to walk,run,laugh,and do the thing's he used to do with his mother and his brother Dereck.I must say Jackie that you are a strong and loving mother,and Dereck is a warm caring and loving son and brother.May God continue to bless and keep his loving arm's around you all and I hope to be hearing the good new's on Juan as God continue to bless him with his healing process.Jackie I need for you to say a special prayer for me I'am a diabetic and I'am taking two kind's of insulin to keep it under control.I just don't care to be taking these shot's and I just wished I had more time to tell you how this problem even came about but I must be singing off now again do pray for my healing as well.Thank's Mrs. Griffin[:)s]

jackie boatwright, you are an amazing person. i am in school for early chlidhood education. i also have a two and a half year old. you could have done anything else, you did not have to fight for everyone's right, but you still are to this day. i can't express how much utter respect and gratitude i have for you and feel ashamed that i have not researched this incident any sooner than now. thank you so much as a mom and an educator.

I commend you on your mission and pray that you accomplish all that you set out to do. My heart just melts as I visited your site for the first time today but I've read the story some time ago since living here in Augusta for 8 1/2 yrs now. I'm posting to ask if your bill could enforce home care providers to carry insurance as well as centers.
I have a 10mth old daugther in a home daycare provider's care and just learned this week that she is not insured. I'm texting all of my close friends who are mothers for advice because I really love the family, my daughter has bonded so well with them but I can't be naive in my thinking that nothing could possibly happen and that her not carrying insurance isn't a big deal. After googling your son's life and seeing updates on your site today I know I have to make sure my daugther is protected as much as within my power while I'm at work.
I want to personally thank you for what you're doing because this is the 3rd month in her care and had you not pushed for this to be a law, she would have never told me that she was not insured. I also called Bright from the Start early learning dept. on my lunch break today and spoke to a consultant that services 65 families in SE GA. she said none of the providers she sees carry liability insurance because of the cost.
My sister runs a center out of her home in MD and said MD requires it and it only costs her some $32/mth for $1mil! she called me at lunch today to say another provider she networks with just got her license and purchased $300K for $100/yr. How can it be that affordable in MD but not in GA? I'm at a lost for words at how negligent the state laws can be when it comes to the care of children and requirements.
Please consider extending this to state icensed home care providers as well.

God has blessed you so much. He has gave you the power to go and tell your story and get a law passed. You have saved my baby sister because when we were first looking at preschools for her they would tell us if they had insurance or not and one place was really nice but didn't have insurance and you might of saveed my sister. May god continue to bless you in every way he can.
