My family settled in Perry Township in the early 1800s (then Union Co.), before moving on to Clinton Co., and later to Elk Co. I love the challenge of genealogical sleuthing, but it is difficult to do remotely. Wish I was there.

My family tree pointed me to New Berlin, indicating that Jonas Vogt (Fought) immigrated there and his son Michael Fought was in the Revolutionary War. I made a visit recently to Lewis cemetery right outside of town and was unable to locate their graves, but the stones are extremely worn, so it may be that they are indeed buried there. Michael was also noted as a Reverend...I really don\'t know what Church he was associated with, also. His son, Michael, moved to NW Ohio in the 1800\'s, and I am from that bloodline. Any information I can obtain would be great. Thank you!
