Served on 617 Sqn from 2001-2008. Those were some of the best days of my RAF career. Great tribute to the heroes that were The Dambusters. I can only be humbled to be part of the 617 legacy. |

Lovely film and great site. I grew up on a RAF site near Newquay (St Eval) and remember hearing the planes. My father was a navigator in bomber command and then in coastal command. |

Busy watching the film and used website for some information. All I can say is that the men and officers of 617 Squadron were brave beyond recognition, and their heroism and duty never be forgotten...... |

My father flew in Lancasters in WW11 as the Rear Gunner. He has since passed, his stories are incredible. I am still wondering if he was in SQN617 or not? His name was Albert Edward James Bassett. |

I have been interested in the Dam Busters for as long as I can remember. Guy Gibson was one of my boyhood heroes, although in reality he may not have been the kind of person one could model oneself on. He was from a different background and an earlier generation, but he and people like him won the war for us. Simple as that. I have known RAF Scampton since about 1960, and to this day I feel that the place is seeped in the history and the \'feel\' of those long-ago wartime days. One small criticism - I liked your website, but didn\'t like your poor spelling and punctuation! BT |
