i talked the wife into going about six years ago.she was a little hesitant at first,but when she got there she fell in love with the place so clean and everyone is very kind.the minute we got there she was nude before we got the blanket spread out.we now love it there.we have been allover mass vt nh to alot of naked swimming holes,and the ledges is by far the best place to be .i just hope we can keep using this place for our activities.some people wanna ruin it for all of us.a couple of times we have ran in to peepers and we both dont like that they need to stay away.but we have met a couple of nice people there.and we are always open for chat when we are there. craig and kelly

We are in our 50s and have only been married for 6 years now. We both enjoy nudism and frequently go to Truro on Cape Cod. We found the Ledges two years ago and have gone frequently ever since. It's about a 3 hour drive for us, so we usally camp nearby. This year we intend to bring our boat as well and boat down from Wilmington. Our small Yorkshire Terrier always comes with us. We love the sunshine and being naked.

My husband and I have tried the Ledges for the first time a couple years ago. We were both raised in families that made us think that going nude in front of other people was bad. But being the curious people that we are we tried it and love it. The people that we have met at the Ledges have all been very nice and have help us to understand what is acceptable and what isn't. The views of the lake are spactacular and the water is cool but not freezing. The world needs more nude beaches. It's the most natural thing in the world and we didn't feel embarased. People there look you in the eyes when they talk to you not at you chest or below your waist. They have a wonderful way of making us feel comfortable. We will definitly keep going back.

I go to Brighton beach as much as possible and love to shed my clothes as I find it more relaxing than having to ware bathing trunks. I can't see why more of Englands beaches can't be nudist there is nothing wrong with going naked we were born that way so whats the harm.

My husband first was introduced to the ledges about 20 years ago thru his father who has been a regular visitor for many, many years (he is now of retirement age). My family (including our young son) frequent the ledges on a regular basis during the summer months, (our drive is apporximately two hours one way). We have always had a positive experience there and have made many friends at the ledges.
To our family we would much rather be at the Ledges than a clothed beach. People at the ledges do not judge and compare bodies in the manner that is done on clothed beaches, it doesn't matter what type of home you have , what kind of car you drive or how much money you make, once you strip down the shell of society (in this case clothes)we are all equal as long as you are a careing, kind individual with respect for one another.

My family is so happy the latest vote was in the Friends of the Ledges favor, that this beautiful area would not be closed to us and that we may go on shareing this space with our friends and family and all the wonderful people we have yet to meet.

We all should at this time extend great thanks to the people of Wilmington for realizing the beauty and importance of keeping the Ledges open in the manner it has been for so very long, and also to Phil Markem, Joanne and all of the friends of the Ledges for there extraordinary efforts in this matter. If you are unfamiliar with these people please go back on the web site and read who are the friends of the ledges and keep in mind that without them being the key force, and without all the dedicated users of the Ledges who put in so much dedication, effort and on educating the public and the determination that they all have had put forth in winning the vote and keeping our right to freedom open we may not have the opportunity to visit the Ledges in the natural state.
