I've not been able to get in contact with any family member, but did speak to Don's good friend Butch. Not much is known except Don passed away late Saturday night, early Sunday morning. Funeral home says there is no plans for any memorial service or any information on grave side service at this time. I have left several messages for a possible family member to contact me but as of this time, no call backs. I will report more information should I make contact with someone that is in the know. Don was a long time member of the DMAC and loved the club. He would travel the country and sometimes Canada to acquire primarily Star parts but also Durant parts. He was "The Man" to go to for anything Star and had a great knowledge about the various model cars and what was factory correct. He was pre-deceased by his Wife, Shirley in February of this year. We've lost a valuable and very knowledgeable Star person who will be hard to replace. His email was Starman and that said it all! Rest in Peace Don!

I just found out about Don’s passing. I rebuilt the body for his 24 Star touring and had been following up with him re the cars completion. Hadn’t the chance to contact him as I had been tied up with numerous things. I would like to find out if he had completed the 24? I enjoyed knowing him and grateful for the experience of working on one of his cars.
He did not complete the car prior to his passing but it is almost done. Looks like it might just need an interior done. It is listed in the auction for his cars as part of his Estate liquidation.
