Request from Veterans Administration-1968 Vietnam

The Association has been contacted by a VA representative in Alabama seeking documentation in records, e.g. operations logs of the 1st Battalion 14th Field Artillery, to support an application for a Purple Heart for a client veteran.

The VA representative currently has the following information from an operations log entry by S-3 of the 198th Light Infantry Brigade at Chu Lai RVN:
"0240h 30 Jan 1968. Incoming mortars. Coordinates BT 548013. 1 WIA from C Battery 1/14th FA"

The VA representative is seeking to support the 198th LIB documentation with more complete information from 14th FA records or referral to a source for such records.
