Apparently there's not too many who've done one of these. The only youtube video I can find on it already removed the side moldings before filming.
sides are reusable. one clip at the front of the side piece to pop off. the corner of the side piece actually connects to the top molding. but that little wrap around corner piece is connected to the sides all the way to the back of vehicle. best way is to just remove the one clip in the front, and leave the rest of it connected to the car.there is enough room to work without removing the whole side pieces. you just have to leave the doors open for the entire job.
w/s top molding is just clipped in and reusable
it is pretty simple to remove the entire side molding, but not necessary.
