sometimes you can cold knife, sometimes you can't. I'm not sure of your market area and vehicles in your area, but I can tell you that there are MANY vehicles that will require a wire tool. I'd suggest getting one and getting good with it in a hurry, they will not be making things easier for "old school" techniques. I use a wire tool on 90% of glass I do, and my arms, shoulders haven't felt this good in years. Do yourself a favor!
