Laws regulating false statements in publications?

I am just curious can a publisher (not you AGRR) make false claims like "The fastest growing auto glass publication in the world?" Sound a bit far reaching to me... just saying ....

this guy and his rag are just full of it, while working at AGRR he could not even get 59 people to like the page on FB and he gave away thousands of dollars of tools away, 59 people... yeah sounds fast growing to me, define fast, 20 of your buddies?

Re: Laws regulating false statements in publications?

Larry,

Look at the math

If he has 20, and gets 2 more, that's a 10% growth rate! LOL

Re: Laws regulating false statements in publications?

if making false statements in publications got people in jail.
There would be a lot of people who post on this forum behind bars LOL.

Free speech does not mean freedom from speech.
so unfortunately we all have to listen to or read the stupid inaccurate
ramblings of bitter failures who want to arm chair quarterback every comment, spelling and opinion on this forum.
sound of mic drop.

Re: Laws regulating false statements in publications?

You can file a claim with the FTC but they're not going to waste their time with someone that can't even get 100 likes on Facebook. If they're saying something false about another business that could qualify as trade libel.

Re: Laws regulating false statements in publications?

Nero that is pretty funny :)
