Custom made tempered glass

I have a customer that has chopped the top of a 51 Chevy pickup. Now needs custom made cab corner glass. The glass that came out is tempered. Is there anyone out there that will custom make tempered?

Re: Custom made tempered glass

Will he have to use a different gasket to accommodate the different thicknesses in glass? Or are they the same?

Re: Custom made tempered glass

Thickness shouldnt be a problem. These old glasses were 1/4 plate. The only problems I've had with Chev/GMC(47-66) backs is someone trying to get you to use a standard lace lock w/strip. GM trucks had a special lock strip w/strip for there backs. The distance between the glass and pinchweld was smaller than the w/strips from CRL.

Re: Custom made tempered glass

I know that from doing some flat work, that if you can send a pattern, most flat/IG makers can bend and temper for you. Not cheap, but it can be done.
