The scandal has led to the resignation of VW’s CEO
The automaker’s top manager in the United States is also slated to resign
They have names ???
Who is blowing smoke up our as*es, are they throwing the right people under the vw bus lol?
The company’s management is “taking all actions within its control” to assess the impact of the “irregularities for clients.”
keep that one in cue
The meaning, of course, is the concept of "professional courtesy," that even the disreputable and unethical do - particularly among themselves - adhere to various sorts of moral codes of conduct.

I have no desire to enter into a debate over the VW fiasco, but just can't resist commenting on how "irregularities" was derived from what the EPA has flat out called $8 Billion worth of "illegalities". Talk about trying to tiptoe down the length of a barb wire fence with one foot on each side......classic double-speak.
We can't admit, and have to deny, any knowledge of the "irregularities", but we sure can't tick off one of our suppliers either, but we're going to err on the side of covering our own backsides first, at least, publicly.

No matter, it will be "negotiated" down to a pittance of $8B, some will "retire", but most will be forgotten in no time, and none of the "harmed consumers" they spoke of will ever see a dime of the fines.

GM's ignition switch fiasco is no different, but the peanut butter guy...he'll spend a couple of lifetimes in jail. Consumer harm isn't measured in dollars unless it's propaganda, because consumer's rarely see any reimbursement, it's measured in lives. Then, one may see actual justice.

the company that the first person speaks of here is a customer of VW
not the owner of VW just to be clear.
