Adjusting claims

Has anyone taken the time to contact their state Board of insurance to find out if Safelite reps are in fact acting as auto claims adjusters when they are fielding calls for glass claims, reviewing pricing and assessing damage to the vehicle?

Are the Safelite agents allowed to do this without proper certification and training? Not much has been mentioned about this lately......

Re: Adjusting claims

Not all states require a license to be an adjuster and I've seen many claims negotiated over the phone. If you really want my best guess at the Board of Insurance's response to this question if it were asked it would be :::SHRUG:::
