inverter

Any recommendations on a power inverter? not looking to spend crazy money on it. just something simple mainly to run a vacuum?

Re: inverter

When I get in tommorrow I will let you know the model of the one i have in my van we got it off amazon.com it was very reasonable and will run a fein knife.

Re: inverter

I found a good one at Napa. 1500W, not a lot of money and works great. Don't remember how much it cost, but way better than that crap at Harbor Freight. Don't buy stuff from Harbor Freight if your livelihood depends on it.

Re: inverter

cool yeah any name brands that work would be great. I usually hate buying stuff without getting real feed back from pros in our line of work. Sucks wasting time installing something then be all ****ed off returning it lol

Re: inverter

You can also check here, www.theinverterstore.com. In case they bleep it, (w w w . the inverter store . com)

Re: inverter

I have gotten mine from a truck stop, it is a 1750 watt. Had it for 20 years now and still use it to this day, runs vacuum, fein knife , and charge batteries at the same time. Also has a low battery warning built in. Now with any inverter some will say you have to run 2 batteries, I just have 1. A yellow top deep cell, you will never have any trouble. If your looking to go cheap then for get everything I just posted, You get what you pay for.

Inverter = 500.00
battery = 250.00

We have 20 AIMS 5000-10,000 paek in our vans for years. They work great and last a long time. The 5000 allows you to run ANYTHING and any type of vacuum. Around $400 for the unit and have them installed professionally for another $250 and insist on ZERO gauge wires

Good Luck

Re: inverter

I have the Power Bright 2300. Runs everything even a compressor. Don't skimp on the cable, 1/0 - 4/0 cable depending on how far you are from the battery. you may spend just as much on cable as you do the inverter. Power Bright has a remote if your putting it in a hard to reach place, I like the read outs and it will shut down before it drains your battery, My old ride I had to install an optima battery (yellow) This will set ya back around 249 or so.
search Power Bright 2300 on you tube for videos on this unit
