Attention Carlite Customers


Ford has decided to remove the header portion of the molding on the current F150 windshields and has given Carlex service direction to sell down our stock of parts with 3-sided moldings then changeover to the 2-sided (pillars only) moldings. According to Ford the parts with 2-sided and 3-sided moldings can be used interchangeably. The following windshields are affected:

DW01838 GTYCAR - SoundScreen® acoustic with rain sensor
DW01981 GTYCAR - regular vinyl w/ Ford oval logo in 3rd visor
DW01982 GTYCAR - SoundScreen® acoustic w/ Ford oval logo in 3rd visor

Carlex will be changing DW01838 and DW01981 over to the 2-sided moldings very shortly so you may receive stock with either style molding within the next couple of months. It will be a few months before DW01982 will be changed over completely to the 2-sided molding.

Does the GGG place make a molding if someone needs an all around the windshield molding.
