2003 Chevy Trailblazer

We have a 2003 Chevy Trailblazer rear window we installed 2 months ago (DB9983YPY). The customer states they lifted the glass up and it exploded halfway up. In the process of figuring out what might have caused this, any info would greatly be appreciated. Thank you.

Re: 2003 Chevy Trailblazer

Its possible one of the rear hinge detached from the glass and lifting the glass at an angle stressed the glass to break. Very known problem with the aftermarket glass for the adhesive they use to fail. Mostly on ATI brand. Or the strut end broke and poked the glass and shattered it ?

Re: 2003 Chevy Trailblazer

The spotwelds where the hinge is welded on to the gate separates and pulls on the glass. I have rewelded 2 this year.
