01 Toyota Landcruiser - FW 2074

Is this like the Lexus with rivit side mouldings? ANy tips would be greatly appreciated.

Re: 01 Toyota Landcruiser - FW 2074

EXACTLY

Re: 01 Toyota Landcruiser - FW 2074

If you can get the rivets from a Lexus dealer (about $0.80 a piece) they work great with a small rivet gun. The side molding is flexible enough to allow the nosepiece to fit snug. Just be careful not to enlarge the holes when drilling out the old rivets. Did this w/s last week- no big hassle

Re: 01 Toyota Landcruiser - FW 2074

The pck-2018 rivets work great just pull off the plastic cover and they go right in. You will need two packs of 6, the 2074 takes 8. Save the extras for next time.

Re: 01 Toyota Landcruiser - FW 2074

Thanks, for your help!!!

Re: 01 Toyota Landcruiser - FW 2074

just screw em in with self tapping screws and 418 then 418 the rivet holes shut.

Re: 01 Toyota Landcruiser - FW 2074

Sounds just like dashhacker!

Re: 01 Toyota Landcruiser - FW 2074

That's great, more liquid clips.

Re: 01 Toyota Landcruiser - FW 2074

Lance, What is your malfunction? Do you post crap like this just to p i s s everybody off? If you can't be reasonable or at the very least polite, then please QUIT POSTING and wasting bandwidth that smart people can utilize!!!

Re: 01 Toyota Landcruiser - FW 2074

NOT TO SIDE WITH LANCE BUT I SEE MORE OF THAT THEN RIVETS PUT BACK IN IF DONE RIGHT IT IS EASIER AND QUICKER IF THE PERSON BEFORE YOU USED SCREWS AND DID IT RIGHT TO DO IT RIGHT PUT SELF TAPPERS IN THE SIDE MOLDING BEFORE REMOVING THEM THEN THEY WILL BE PLACED IN CORRECT SPOT SORRY BUT THIS WORKS

Re: 01 Toyota Landcruiser - FW 2074

Just because something "works" or is easier does not mean it is the right thing to do.
