anybody heard from CAG lately

just curious somebody had mentioned not hearing anything recently.

wonder is that was all a scam, and has been abandoned or if they are still trying to work on it?

there have been so many snake oil remedies, with no results. i have a feeling it just comes down to teaching everybody to use a similar formula.

i have a feeling that the autoglass industry is afraid to make a profit, there is no magic line in the sand that says, this is to much to ask, and with everybody having different overhead costs, that line varies with the shop.

i guess it was fine when NAGS allowed all shops to make money, now with their lowering of list prices, i think that their numbers only work for shops with increased buying power and lower overhead?

i don't know, somebody explain it to me.

Re: anybody heard from CAG lately

We have not quit working on it. There will be a presentation to group members next week at the NGA regarding progress and next steps. Look for a press release after that.

It is a very complicated process; there are a ton of details and data items that have to be taken into account to build a reliable benchmark. We have a formula that works and an objective that we feel is attainable.

As far as the "scam factor" goes, as the group is self funded, that wouldn't make much sense.

Feel free to email me any questions you have or post them here; I'll be happy to respond as much as I can.
