06 Honda Oddessey van wind noise.

Does anyone know for sure exactly what causes the windnoise that seems to affect every single van that comes out of the factory.

I originally thought it was wind whistling by side clips under side moldings, but after sealing those and still having the problem, we end up resetting the windows anyway. Which so far fixes the problem.

However, I would really like to NOT reset the w/s's, so any know for sure what problem is and how to fix, without reset.

Thank you

Re: 06 Honda Oddessey van wind noise.

I do work for the Honda dealer and had the same problem You were close by thinking it was the moulding . try the bottom right and left corner of the windshield. When the urethane was put down they did not follow the edge of the windshield at the right and left bottom corners but cut across and left a space. Honda’s T.S.P. bulletin tells you to fill the space. I have been using Butyle. I go about 6” up the side of the glass under the moulding and 12” along the bottom of the windshield on the right and left side to insure the space is filled. What makes me smile is the service manger gets these bulletins. For some reason just seems to not think to pass the information on.

There is factory recall on these directing that the 2 side mouldings be replaced.....
