Re: COUNTDOWN Episode - 05/12/1982 (Mysterious circumstances)

I was the same too, thinking WTF? They didn't host 5/12/82 episode.

Re: COUNTDOWN Episode - 05/12/1982 (Mysterious circumstances)

I only have the timecoded version of the December 5 1982 show but there is no mention as to why Bananarama didn't host it.

Wendy Stapleton was one of those Melbourne based artists like James Reyne, Brian Mannix etc who would be called in at short notice to host if programming changes were necessary.

The show was filmed in the Countdown studio. There were no audiences for the four live performances although Molly and Wendy appear to interact with studio audience members at the end of the show.

It was only Humdrum that was filmed at Molly's house. I'm not sure why the ABC archive details have it as the show being recorded at Molly's house.

Go figure Armin,

I wonder why those who have archived and typed the information put some things down for.

Go figure how on the episode you say there was no mention on why Bananarama didn't end up hosting.

I just checked and I actually have the 5th December, 1982 on timer code.
