COUNTDOWN IS BACK THIS JANUARY, 2019 ... ON rage !!!!! Stay tuned below with regular Countdown full archival information for each Countdown episode rage shall be airing every Saturday throughout January ...
I got to guest program rage, well not really but I got to do the next best thing. I made my own guest programming edition of rage. It wasn't too difficult, I collected together all the rage I.Ds, picked several videos that have a story or experience attached to me personally and selected 59 music videos. I tried to copy the rage format as closely as possible so it looked as genuine and as close to the real thing as possible. The music videos I selected have all aired on rage (with the exception of 3 which I don't believe rage has) of course but it was a lot of fun picking just 59 clips as rage has aired many clips over the years that I've enjoyed. It goes for a total duration of 4 hours, perhaps a little shorter than a genuine guest programmers would which probably go for 5 hours if the Saturday morning was included. It's been good therapy for me making this and watching it back. I thought I'd share what I've done here as I'm hoping their are other like minded people who may have done something similar themselves. I'm also looking for an audience for this project which I'm finding difficult as I don't really know anyone who likes the same music as me. If you would be interested in viewing my efforts please let me know as I'd be happy to send you it on DVD as my own cost. The playlist I have selected is below.

Nathan, that is an awesome idea! Your taste in music is more varied than mine is - and that's really saying something! Ramstein to Joey Scarbury, Hanson to Nirvana, Metallica to Christopher Cross, Belinda Carlisle to silverchair - wow! You have put a lot of thought in there, and IMO definitely Some People by Cliff Richard (a truly forgotten gem), Lay Down Your Guns, The Door & the Hall & Oates masterpiece Out of Touch are all must haves. Oh, and Traveling Wilburys & Quatro/Norman's Stumblin' In. Brilliant.
Thanks for that. It is quite a varied playlist, that's one of the charms rage has as they will play almost anything. I'm hoping others may create their own edition. It's very unlikely any of us have any chance to guest program but this can be the next best thing. Condensing hours and hours of rage recordings into 4 or 5 hours can be fun. 0
