Hey Guru Bob

I have just launched a Fans Of Allison Durbin Facebook Page. Do you have a list of her charting singles as our first Queen Of Pop. Any help greatly appreciated.
Cheers,
Adam

Re: Hey Guru Bob

According to David Kent's Chart Book 1970-1992 she had 4 charting singles in the Top 100 for that period.
Golden Days - May 4 1970 - HP 98 - WI 1
Put Your Hand In The Hand - May 10 1971 - HP 24 - WI 19
Baby, Without You (with Johnny Farnham) - Nov 15 1971 - HP 27 - WI 21
Amerikan Music - Sept 25 1972 - HP 33 - WI 12

She also had some in the late 60s. You might have to google that.

Re: Hey Guru Bob

After a number of country albums throughout the mid to late 70s and early 1980s that failed to make much of an impact on the charts Allison worked the club scene around mainly Victoria before making a welcome return in 1992 with her final CD album “Reckless Girl” and released a one off single “Can’t Get Over You” which she performed on Hey Hey It’s Saturday. Unfortunately neither album or single was much of a success and many years Allison continued to work the club scene before her spectacular fall from grace during the late 2000s having been arrested for drug dealing and possession. Allison was sentenced to prison and has since been unheard of ever since that day. It is nice of you to start a Facebook page though sadly her fall from grace has now overshadowed what was a very prestigious music career of the 60s and 70s era in Australian music. She is also a Kiwi born singer who like many made Australia her home base.
