I just discovered Ray Sawyer from Dr Hook died on 31st December 2018. Countdown featured Dr Hook heavily in the 70s and very early 80s. Why, oh why didn't Rage do a tribute to Dr Hook? Or, at least, play the unplayed 1981 Countdown episode featuring Dennis and Ray from Dr Hook. Disappointing, very disappointing.
Yeah, I heard it on the radio a few weeks ago. A better episode would be this one from 1982:

I actually thought we would have got this episode about 10 years ago, cause when they showed The Human League episode - 23/5/82, Dr Hook made a cameo appearance and said they would be on the show next week.
Strange that there wasn't some sort of tribute. Not really a fan of the 70's stuff but love the early 80's hits "Girls Can Get It" Baby Makes Her Blue Jeans Talk" and "Wild Colonial Boy"
