Gavin Wood M.I.A. early to mid 1982

It has probably been discussed before on the forum and no doubt mentioned on the show at some stage - bit does anyone recall why the legend Gavin Wood was Missing In Action from early '82 until around August of that year - as the voice overs during that stage were done by John Peters?

I think John Peters did the voice overs for Countdown Summer Specials includes the New Zealand Invasion which I saw in the Australian Music Vault Museum of Melbourne's the Arts Centre in the summer of 1981-82.

Yes John did do the fantastic "Summer special" series over '81/82 - but also did the voice overs for a series of actual Countdown episodes throughout the second quarter of 1982.
