Rage Retro Month Week 5

Lucky for us this year's January has 5 Saturdays! That means we can squeeze in one more night of Retro Month goodness.

Just when we thought it was all over this Retro Month snuck up on us with an extra weekend so it's a good thing we have a wealth of amazing retro material. If you're a fan of Boy George (it's a given for anyone who loves Retro Month) then we are playing a full Countdown special devoted to him. There is also an episode hosted by Jason Donovan featuring a performance from Noiseworks and an interview with The Pretenders. We even have an episode co-hosted by Vince Sorrenti and Martha David (Can you think of a better duo?).

Now this REALLY IS your last chance to soak up all the retro craziness, so if you want all of this plus the other bits and pieces of Countdown and Rock Arena fabulousness, do not miss out.

Culture Club repeat which I am sure it won't be, it will be the special 'Who's A Tart' from 1984 or it may be the 1987 episode from the Underground with Boy George fans

I think the episode related to Jason Donovan is episode 553 May 10 1987. I don't think he hosts it, he is just interviewed on it.

Yep, this must be the one as it mentions Pretenders as well. Okay, 2 episodes we know will be on next weekend, I hope for at least 2 more early 80s episodes from 1980 and 1981!!!!!!!!

We need 6 more episodes this Saturday night to make up last years total. I don't think it's going to happen. This Saturday line up sounds pretty good. Anyway, good that requests got played this year.

Excited about the 1985 episode, I remember it from the time, and not really knowing who Martha Davis was, but "Shame" is fantastic.
Also Endless Road, Spanish Eddie, Renee Geyer, and hopefully the video for Current Stand rather than the quite dreadful version shown this week with the ******** superimposed car!

Also wondering what "The Medal song" is doing there, was it actually released as late as this and flopped?

The Man 2 Man/Paul Lekakis tracks would definitely be the Countdown dancers, as rage have aired a medley of that featuring Countdown dancers before as a standalone video.
