The 1983 Rock Arena was my third and final RA request! I cannot believe they will have played all three of my RA requests It seems rage are playing everyone's requests!! Maybe I should have asked for more...

Seems that myself and you are programming rage goes retro!

Last weekend the 1980 and 1983 Countdown episodes were my requests played and the rest was yours.

And this weekend, the 1981 and 1985 Countdown's are my requests and the 1984 Rock Arena with I'm Talking is my request and the other Rock Arena from 1983 is yours!

That's fantastic. Well done to both of you. Jason, I have been on this forum for 10 years now and believe me I heard your cries for the RA I'm Talking live in concert for so long and I was up for seeing it too. So who was it that mentioned to Kate would she be up for seeing that episode on Rock Arena too?

Clip Magnet, you did great also. I've always been a big Mondo Rock fan and more so after seeing Ross in concert a few months ago and guess who the special guest was? Would you believe it, Pat Wilson! She sang 'Bop Girl' with Ross singing his bits. Loved it! She still sings just as good as the record 30+ years ago.

Yes finally, my cried to rage have been heard for the RA with I'm Talking live. I nagged them every year and in the last few months I have requested it and requested it and them 2 weeks or so ago I asked for it again as they said the archivists were coming back soon from holiday so I thought it was worth another go. And yes, they are delivering after a decade of me asking!!!!!!

Ross Wilson (et al.) will be rolling in the residuals and repeat fees this January if that was part of the appearance contract he had back then.

rock arena 29th May 1984 would be nice!

Well that was interesting... rage started the 1983 Rock Arena episode with no intro, jumping straight to Eagle Rock (missing the first 3 videos) and ending without warning after the W.H.Y video (hence missing the last 5 videos). I wonder if the master was damaged and they had to drop the beginning and the end? Or time constraints? (and I've just seen the other thread on this topic...)

I had never seen the video for Primal Park, and despite describing it as "live" on the runsheet it wasn't really. Yes they had instruments in hand and were on a stage, but there was no audience and they were miming the studio recording... that makes it a video in my book!

The Summer Of 81 clip was I think the Countdown produced clip. The "real" video was played on rage last week.

Coming from Queensland as I do it was not that uncommon for some of the retro programming to be edited if not outright skipped when shown up here, particularly if the ABC had a live event to cover that Sunday.

About I'm Talking an unsung heroine of that band has to have been their bass player as she was simply 'on' that night. Overall another excellent hosting job from Suzanne Dowling that night as well.
