rage goes reteo 4 blurb

Not a bad rage goes retro 4 IF the Coutndown TINA TURNER episode is the December 1984 episode which I requested and not the 1982 or 1985 previously played Tina Turner episodes. Limahl, FABULOUS! Jermaine Jackson, hmmm, haven't rage already played this episode, I think there are 2 Jermain episodes though....
________________________________________________________________________________

Not only did the 60s, 70s and 80s produce important cultural artefacts including lava lamps, waterbeds and the Speak & Spell, apparently some pretty good music was born out of those decades too. Forget #flashbackfriday, for the whole month of January rage has been looking to the past and reliving classic musical moments. Sadly, it’s almost time to fold away your beloved polyester jumpsuit as Retro Month comes to a close for another year.

We go out with a bang for the final weekend of Retro Month, playing Countdown episodes hosted by Jermaine Jackson, Limahl and Tina Turner, Rock Arena hosted by Glenn Shorrock, Hitscene hosted by the delightfully awkward Dick Williams, and more!

Join us for the last weekend of Retro Month on Saturday 25th January from 10:30-11:30am, returning for the night from 11:30pm on ABC1.

Re: rage goes reteo 4 blurb

Jermaine Jackson will be March 15 1981 - ep 276 (exists on timecode copy)
Limahl April 22 1984 - ep 413
Tina Turner - December 16 1984 - ep 447

The Glen Shorrock Rock Arena will have aired originally between January and June of 1984.

1984 is well represented.

From a personal point of view it is looking like a very good night.

Wasn't expecting this much Countdown on the last night which is a very pleasant surprise in the show's 40th anniversary year. That brings to 13 the number of Countdown episodes that have not previously aired on Rage.

Re: rage goes reteo 4 blurb

This means I get 2 of my 1984 requests of Countdown this year, Live From Sydney on weekend 1 and Tina Turner... I thought the Jermaine Jackson one would be the timer code one we have that hasn't been played yet....

Re: rage goes reteo 4 blurb

How does one get hold of the circulating eps in timecoded form? Happy to supply blanks and run postage both ways..

If I could find some spare time I could do copies of items that are of interest but I am still fairly busy for the next 18 months going through footage and transferring it to discs. I am currently doing work for the Hawthorn Football Club with 100's of videos and after that I am hopeful of getting access to Carlton Football Club's U-Matic material from the early 80's as they haven't been able to transfer it well themselves as I now have a very good U-Matic machine.

I buy blanks every 2 months or so in lots of 600. They cost $120 for discs @ 20c each and $9 for sleeves @ 1.5c each. I can use mine or you can supply your own.

I did incur some costs in getting them so would have to pass that on.

Email me if interested but I can't promise a time-frame at this stage.

Re: rage goes reteo 4 blurb

I remember some excerpts from the Jermaine Jackson episode being shown on VH1. I still think there should be more 1982 episodes!

Re: rage goes reteo 4 blurb

Rage runs from 10:56pm until 6:30am this coming Saturday night, so that's just over 7.5 hours. I hope there's some more retro shows aired in the approx. 2.5-3 hours remaining, and not just common-as-muck videos.
