What is the point of Saturday morning requests on Rage?

I see Hole's 'Celebrity Skin' was played on Rage as a request this morning. YAWN! I like the song, but how many times has it been on Rage over the years. Yet another, already-played-enough-on-Rage video featured as a 'request'. BORING!

They might as well play Love Will Tear Us Apart & Windowlicker as requests.

Tell me about it! I have requested Tim Finn's 'Persuasion' for over 3 months now and I make the request twice a week. Get onto it rage!
BTW - it's good to be back afer retro January
