I am BEYOND excited about the news that The Human League will be performing THE most CLASSIC album of the 80s "Dare" at V Festival. In late March meets early April!!!
AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH! They may be doing some side shows as well, hopefully, crosses fingers*
Also on the V Festival bill is Madness, bless em... haha.
Just Phil and the girls from the Dare line up, unfortunately.
BUT, the backing band that they yhave been using for years are FANTABULOUS!... great synths and brilliant musicians.
And yes Patrick, I LOVE "Tell me When". I remember rage played it in 1995 and I heard them say it will be on, on the rage line. I was MEGA excited, ahh sigh...
Madness are on the same bill as well? Sounds like pure heaven to me!
As a small lad way back in the early 80's I practically grew up on Madness songs - I think I almost wore out the Complete Madness LP from listening to it too much!!
They are a great group and very inventive with their song structures, etc. I often play the Divine Madness dvd of their greatest video hits and have been impressed at how they stand up pretty well these days.
They are a fun group and certainly well worth seeing live for sure.
Hi Patrick, there was a Greatest Hits DVD released some years ago. It had video clips from 'Circus of Death' to 'All i ever wanted'. It might be deleted now. Here is the Amazon link:

Thomas Dolby is a very interesting artist - I don't mind some of his work.
Now correct me if I'm wrong - but in the clip for It's My Party by Dave Stewart and Barbara Gaskin it has a scene where Barbara is escorted by someone looking very much like Mr Dolby.
Was it him or am I imagining things?
Great song in any case and hilariously avant garde clip too - very early 80's!
I haven't bought Secrets yet. I guess I was let down far too often post Dare and didn't bother. But I read it was a return to form and their best since Dare. So how would you guys rate it? Worth buying?
