I just got a call from a former club member in Sparks Nevada (outside of Reno) that he's ready to sell his 1930 Durant 6-14 sport roadster. Gary Goodlett is 82 and has realized that he is not going to finish this car and he wants a club member to get it and finish the assembly. He has a lot of the car already completed. The engine and transmission are finished (rebuilt by a former mechanic for the famed Harrah's collection) The running gear is done, chroming done with reproduction parts from the late Harvey Frid. All the wood has been redone and the sheet metal attached. Gary had unprecedented access to the Harrah collection parts bin back in its heyday and was able to find many parts (which he supplied parts for other members cars also). New wire wheel hubcaps, top bows etc. He had some painting done in red (but was not happy with the color, so your choice). He wants what he has into it--$14,500.00 (and that was with 1970s-1980s dollars!) I'd say this is going to be someone's last chance at a vehicle of this quality and desirability.(775) 359-8728. Call him!
