My father's 25 Durant needs to be relocated, but first a tube needs to be patched or replaced.... and hopefully I can get it running for the easiest solution.
Anyway... Looking for a few details about jacking and wrenching to remove left rear wheel. It's been a while, but I recall a jack lifting from the hub. Going thru tools etc I'm not finding a jack or wheel wrench... They may have been loaned-out.
If I have to improvise:
1. What are acceptable jack points to use?
2. What size wrench is hub nut expected to be?
Thanks in advance for any assistance in this area.
(me again)
... I think the jack I recall under the hub may have been a jack stand for some reason.... Questions 1. & 2. from original post still apply.
Thanks.
Best place to jack the car is on the axle. You can raise the tire off the ground easily that way. To remove the tire you take the four nuts off that are near the rim. You then have to rock the tire/rim in and out to bring it out opposite the valve stem and then lift the tire/rim off.
There is a video on the website on how to change a split rim tire. It is in the Tech Info under Manuals & Other Docs. It's at the bottom "How to change a Split Rim Tire".
