1930 Durant 617 auction sale/Denver 19th -20th

We've consigned our "just restored" 1930 Durant 617 coupe to the D.E. Foeller auction in Denver, July 19-20..Pictures can be seen on their webite, www.defoellersales.net. This is the car that was found in an old Western Kansas school house, stored since 1944. (we have photos of the car in the building when found).. The original owner placed the car there, went off to WWII and did not return. The car was found in 2005 by a friend, who brought it to Colorado. We completed a frame on restoration of the rust free - dent free car. It's in excellent condition, runs nicely. Gary Thompson 316 681-3223

Re: 1930 Durant 617 auction sale/Denver 19th -20th

Nice looking car even with the switched bumpers that don't match. Seems it just needs the spare rim and tire which won't fit with a full rear bumper instead of the part bumperettes each side of the spare. Should have the plain 30 twin bar bumpers with Durant crest shaped bumper medallions, front and back. That front diamond shaped one is almost the Canadian 32 ones or Chevy. Can't blow up the pic get a better idea.

Hadn't seen those type window winders on a Durant before with big bakelite knobs. The bakolite knobs on my 32 are same size a the metal counter parts.

This is the half 1929 and half 1930 model brought out 1930. Chassis / running gear / wheels of the 29 but body / fenders / rad of the 30.
