I have made new oak running boards for my 1928 Durant. I ordered rubber mats from Metro Moulded Parts and trim from Restoration Supply. I was planning on gluing the rubber mat to the running board at least around the edges. Does anyone have a suggestion on the type/brand of glue to use?

I had a professional attach rubber matting to my wooden running boards using contact cement several years ago. I have had no problems so far.
