You know how I met Bert, at the Bako swap meet. I had this single seat meadow find that was unidentifiable with a star tag on the motor. Without seeing it Burt and I talked in disbelief, so he invites me to Sonoma to see under his Star car running board.
Boy did need parts! He said, I won't sell you parts unless you join the DMAC. $25 or $35.not sure, but I had a check. Done. I left with a Spier, a trans, clutch and levers and a lot more. The rest is history.
Without Bert Babick's love for Star automobile and the DMAC, Rusty would have never even made it to yard art. Kids and old love this drivable treat. As you are all driving and loving your 100-year-old transportation think of Bert Babick, as I do.
Thank you, Bert, for your spirit and love of life.

Don, my dad really loved Star cars and to see one back on the road meant the world to him. I'm glad the car is running and kids enjoy it. Maybe you can spent some time with us and attend the Bert Babick memorial tour in April 14th to 18th, 2025 in Lodi calif. The place is the Hampton inn. I really enjoyed seeing the car and other members did also.

Thank you, Mike, for the invitation to next spring's romp.
I had a great time in Visalia. Lodi would be a fun
destination too. The middle of April is tricky for a cotton
farmer. I will put it on my calendar now and see if
I can work it out.
