Distributor advance

Would anyone have a picture of how the cable is attached to the distributor on a 31 Durant 612?

Re: Distributor advance

Earnie- Did you get that figured out? Cable is at retard when the dash control is pulled out for starting,so the the connection at the distributor is pulled back, then as you advance the timing the cable (actually has to be a wire) pushes and rotates the upper portion of the distributor, the lower half of the distributor bolted to the cylinder head. The clip at the distributor must be free to move through its arc. Ross
