Re: Oil filter

Continental 22A engines used a AC G-2 metal cannister type filter. It fits against the small lugs cast into the block and the strap should be just the right size to secure it. Now, if you can find one it would be new old stock only. You'll probably have to find one that fits in the space and work out the inlet and outlet lines,(with takeoff for the oil pressure gauge). The replacement types that fit seem to be labelled 1/2 e.g. Fram Hastings etc.

Hi Earnie,

Dodge,Plymouth and Studebaker also used the same oil filter.
Last month I found a source for new filters, see below.

The previous owner had removed the filter housing completely so I will look into the one in the link. Thanks
