Star chassis rear axle

how to fix the resolution on my computer

I'm looking for a pinion assembly for my axle, it was made into a trailer and the opening is blocked off.
My Rear axle has external brake bands... this one, which I think is a star rear axle... or at least looks the same, isn't set up for external brakes. Any thoughts?
Did they use different ratios? Could I use this pinion assembly?

Re: Star chassis rear axle

I think that's a 30 or later Durant axle. Maybe you could swap the brake assemblies?

Three shoe brakes were common on 1929 models.

Not 1930 and later axle with single shoe Steeldraulic brakes and hole to adjust the brakes with the special bent pliers just for those.
