Duncan, Over the years I've seen many ways of rebuilding the coupler between the trans and engine. My own experience ( and I've rebuilt three of these ) is to use two hose clamps coupled together which have a big enough inside diameter to fit around the hub, and the wedges assembled with the rubber balls. You can use both of the clamps to evenly tighten the assembly to a diameter which will drop partially into the housing. Then use the handle of a hammer to gently tap the assembly the rest of the way home. Then you can use the clamps for whatever else. Curt
