For those of you who haven't heard, my dad was diagnosed with a Glioblastoma (aggressive brain cancer) on Aug 21. He declined treatment due to the advanced nature of the condition and quality of life that would result from the treatment.
Shortly after his diagnosis, he became paralyzed on his left side, had limited speech, and he was very weak.
My dad's condition has progressed to a point now where he is unconscious, and unable to eat or drink yesterday (9/6). This morning (9/7) he has a fever.
For those who attended the 2019 Club Meet in the Black Hills of South Dakota may be remember my parents as the people who organized that meet. My dad planned all the routes, while my mom organized most of the activities and events. My parents met in the black hills, and they spend most of their summers there.
I've been living with my parents again for the last two weeks trying to do what I can to help take care of my parents in his last days. I don't want to publish their home address publicly on the web, but if anyone wants to send cards, their contact info is in the Durant Roster.
I will send updates, when I have more information to share.

So very very sorry to hear this! Your Dad and Mom have become such a good part of the DMAC an has contributed so much over the years they have belonged. Although I could not attend the Dakota meet due to the airport being shut down here in Orlando due to the Hurricane, I've heard nothing but good and positive things. Your Mom and Dad did such a great job on planning a wonderful trip for all the Durantonians that attended. I feel I can speak for all the Durant Family that our thoughts and prayers are with you in these terrible days. We are all here for you if you need us.

I'm so sorry to hear of your Dad's passing. Your Durant family all mourns with you and is here for you should you need them. I'm sure you can reach out to any of us should you need to talk to someone. You will still be in our thoughts and prayers until you get through this rough time. You will never forget or "get over it" but as time goes by, it hurts a little less.
