Hello Durantonians;
By now or sometime this week all the DMAC members in the U.S. should receive in the mail a brochure about the Foundations solicitation for donations to the museum effort to build a museum in Michigan. A separate mailing will go out to all our members outside the United States shortly. The effort to build a brick and mortar museum in the United States has been underway for many years, starting with past President Lance Haynes. The business structure of the museum has been formed as a Board Of Director run corporation in Michigan and it has received it's 501 (c)(3) non profit designation.
As many of you know I highly support this effort and feel we owe it to future generations that we teach a very important part of automotive history, the history of William C. Durant and his contributions to the world of the automobile. Also his founding of Durant Motors Inc which provided the very cars we enjoy and love today as well as the associated cars that sprang from the routes of Durant Motors. Currently there are various Durant Motors cars spread throughout many museums in the world, but not one museum to focus on the cars or Billy Durant.

Since many of these cars in your collection have been such a part of you families history and enjoyed many times by you, I urge you to seriously consider donating to the museum effort anyway you can! Let's make this a mission of the DMAC to support this effort and have a museum we all can be proud of.

I second the request for donations. The museum team members and the foundation board of directors has put in many hours of work to get the building plan this far. As to brochure implies, “Only You Can Help!”

Please support this endeavor to establish a brick and mortar facility which will display the efforts of Billy Durant.

Yea yea yea, i am so so happy we are going to have a actual Durant Motors Museum but fellows it take's money so please please send any amount you can, course our great Star Man Don Shilling is planning on leaving most of his estate to support it thankfully, Don is a great friend,and when our founder brother Yates called me asking to be president after he was getting tired, so i did serve 2 terms and my first acceptance speech i had started a museum fund so i cut a nice ck to show i was 100% in and i would twist arms at Durant meets and got a number of checks, and i am going to send in another ck with this new donation form i got in the mail, and i want to donate my extensive lit collection and at least one of my many Durant cars.
I think Billy Durant was one gifted interesting fellow and built a great car.
