Looks like an original 1922/23 Star listed on Ebaymotors.com. Ad says it's a barn find. Don't know about that, but looks like a little steam cleaning and fluid refreshment and maybe she'd be a drive as is car.
Where Are You From? Oviedo, Florida
Do You own a car built by Durant? 1928 Durant Model 65 4 door sedan
This is the same gentleman who sold Ray Zenz 612 a couple years ago. He buys and sells many vintage cars of all sorts. I will likely go View the car as it’s only a few minutes drive but he likely has a reserve on it heavy enough to allow a fair profit. If I am able I will get a number of photos for anyone who might be interested in the car.
I would love to look this car over. Not enough info to justify the current price.
Vince, look closely at woodwork and lover panel rot thru.
This is another example of an early rear suicide door '22. I've never noticed any '23's or up with these doors.
On closer reflection of this Star, I can't see the price going much higher. It would be interesting to know the "reserve" price. I doubt a cleanup and servicing would result in a very dependable driver. As it is, it is a survivor at best but a lot of details can deteriorate and fail at any time. It looks good enough to warrant a proper "Resurrection" to it's original end of assembly line condition.
