Recommendation for replacement carburator

I have a 1928 M2 and the pot metal is broken on my carburetor where the needle valve screws in on the bottom. I have tried JB weld and cannot get it to stop leaking. Thus far I can not find a replacement Tillotson R-6A carburetor and would like to know if anyone can recommend a replacement carburetor that will work with my car.

Re: Recommendation for replacement carburator

For an inexpensive 'get by' carb, lots and lots and lots of people, in the past, made use of a standard Ford Model A carb. Probably worked pretty good because they were still on the engines when I wound up with them!

You might also see in Tech page the listing Phil and I worked on for Zenith replacement carbs.

Yes I have heard Henry's A carbs work as well on other than 28 - 32 Ford A vehicles.

Look into a new Zenith Model 68, Phil's chart will have the sub model number.
