The Pacific Coast Chapter's Spring Tour is coming up soon on April 18th.
There is more information an Agenda and a registration form in the Events section.
So far we have 25 people coming and ten or eleven cars. There is plenty of room for more. We've got three days a driving and visits in a very beautiful part of California. Best of all, the roads are smooth and there's not a lot of traffic. There are over three hundred wineries in the area as well as olive and horse ranches.
If you are coming and haven't sent me your $ or your dinner preference, please do so ASAP.
Sounds good Vince...Got the little 40 coupe loaded in the hauler and plan on taking in the meet on our way back to Central Washington...I'm thinkin I have most of the bugs worked out of the new restoration but we shall see how it all shakes out on some serious touring.
Thanks Vence...Looking forward to seeing ya'll Monday
Re: DMAC Pacific Coast Chapter Spring Tour - Pictures
Our second day of touring was an adventure!
We drove through fantastic countryside of rolling hills, acres of vineyards, cattle and olive orchards. Then we drove 16 miles through the mountains over to the coast. 12 of those 16 miles were over narrow, curvy and very steep dirt roads. Average speed was from 5 to 10 miles per hour. Once we reached the other side of the mountains we drove along the coast to Morrow Bay.
Once there we stopped for a photo shot in front of Morro Rock. We stopped for lunch and drove back over the mountains, this time on a paved road. We continued on through Atascadero and on to Paso Robles. We covered around 80 fun filled miles for the day.
Re: DMAC Pacific Coast Chapter Spring Tour - Pictures from Day 3
On Thursday we had ten cars for our final day of touring.
Vince took us to Fort Roberts, Mission San Miquel and A Car and Warbird Museum.
The weather was perfect and the roads were easy, clear of modern traffic and a joy to drive.
