As Mike Linthicum stated, I contacted my local PP paint dealer and had them prepare some acrylic enamel paint and package it in spray "rattle" cans for me. The color was formulated using an optical scan computer paint color system from a cleaned, UV protected, area inside the Continental bell housing. Mike was able to verify the new generated color is the same color as the original scanned area. I purchased 4 cans, not knowing what the paint coverage would be on my Continental 6 cylinder with the bell housing. I applied 2 coats of paint, using just a little over 1 can. If you are conservative, 1 can will certainly cover 2 coats on the flat head sixes. I am willing to sell the other 2 unused cans (cost + shipping) to anyone who is interested. This paint is the exact color that our 1928 Durant Continental motors came with from the Elizabeth, New Jersey plant!
Thanks to Steve for going the extra mile to get the paint packaged and shipped to me in Utah. DMAC members have been great in helping me get started on restoring my 1925 Star F.

Hi Bill;
It's what being a Durantonian is all about. The nicest people on the planet as far as I'm concerned. The main goal it to get these cars up and running so all can enjoy and learn about them.
