I started restoring my 1927 Star "R" car six that been in storage for 21 years. It appears that the throat in the Zenith carburetor broke at the throat that enters in intake manifold when I opened it. I think the throat had ceased inside the body. I had soaked the carb in solvent overnight and with WD-40. Is the throat cracked? If so should I attempt to do a machine shop repair or purchase a good replacement carb. If getting a another carb is the best option, any suggestions of which carb and whom to contact to purchase one.
